O Little Town of Bethlehem...
Main Street of Christmas City, Bethlehem, PA
Even though Christmas is over, this picture can still pack a powerful punch of Christmas Spirit. Bethlehem is so beautiful at Christmas time.

Hmmm...what bird sanctuary? Have any more info on that? I'm game to go take pictures ~ sounds lovely and that location is in my backyard.

If you're coming from the town of Macungie and you take mountain rd (which I believe is church st from Macungie town and then turns into moutain rd) you will pass it if you don't slow down and look. There's a little driveway (on the left) and when you pull into it there's a small clearing and a sign for it. You have to get out of your car though and climb up the mountain to it. My neighbor did it with his 9 year old son and he said it was beautiful. My hubby and I have wanted to do it numerous times but we never did. Now that I have two very young children (18 mths and 10mths) it will be a while before I'll attempt it with them.
If you wind up visiting it and take pics of it please post them...

Thanks! I think I'll wait until spring, as right now I'm 36 weeks pregnant and a mountain hike may do me in ! My kids and I love "birding" at an ammature level...can't wait to explore!

Wow austere!!
36 weeks...your ready to go....
I love birding, too. I can't wait for spring because then the blue birds come back. Not Blue Jays, but blue birds...they're so beautiful with their orange bellies red necks and vibrant blue feathers. They love our deck for some reason. I haven't gotten the chance to really capture one in a photo, though. That will be the first order of business this spring!
Last year the spring/summer butterflies were awesome. I captured one on film. I've never seen such beautiful butterflies up close!
Swallow-tail butterfly in my backyard in Macungie, PA last early June:
And here's one of those hard to catch blue-birds...as you can see it's a bit blurry:

Wanting to relocate
Beautiful pictures. My husband and I have lived in Alaska for the past 7-years. I want to relocate to be closer to family in Ohio. Can you tell me what the job situation is there in the Valley? My husband is an electrician and I am an office manager. Replies greatly appreciated.

If you're looking to be closer to Ohio, this area is not for you. However, if you don't mind the long drive (I think maybe eight hours??? I really don't know but I'm sure someone will post about it... )
This area is pretty good for jobs. My suggestion would be to search for current info on it on the Lehigh Valley forum and then maybe post a new thread with your question so you'll get a better response. Your post will most likely become buried in this thread, since it's just about the pictures.
I hope you find the info that you need! Good luck!!
