Hello-
I know there are many threads regarding this subject, but here are the things my wife (to be) and I are looking for:

nature nearby
a good pub or tavern
a creek (would be nice, not necessary)
good schools
more than a fifth of an acre to live on
not too far from live music
freindly neighbors
house between $200-300k
scenery
bike trails

My research and reading inicates that Bethlehem offers the music, pub and cultural parts.

Can anyone specifically indicate what towns or suburbs I should narrow my search into? N Beth, W Beth, Nazareth, Saucaon Valley, Center Valley, Hanover Twnship, Palmer Twnship? others?

I appreciate any advice you could offer.
We'll be there in July

Saucon Valley close to South Bethlehem is the spot for you. You will not be too far from the Southside of Bethlehem where you can enjoy live music at the Funhouse and the Wildflower Cafe (non-alcoholic byob). As far as a bar to chill and relax at you have the Your Welcome Inn. The bartenders are Irene early in the day if you chose to start early, Mary Kay afternoons, and the legendary Dave at night. Dianne also helps on fridays and works 1 night a week by herself. Old man Stevie works saturday afternoons. Come on down!

Saucon Valley is a school district, not a town. Hellertown is a nice small town in that district. It's a cute town with somewhat affordable houses, great schools and a walkable downtown. As loose cannon says, it's very close to Bethlehem for the city-ish scene. Lehigh University is very close as are the other area colleges. Shopping is just over the hill at the Promenade shops Welcome to The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley

Default Lehigh Valley Relocation

Hanover Township is nice. Keep you eye on whitehall to, centrally located to bethlehem and west allentown. But has the ironton rail trail for biking, walking etc. plus will be a little less expensive then Center valley. You really can't go wrong with any of the areas that you are looking at. Good Luck
