Those of you who listen to 95.1 WZZO or 99.9 The Hawk know what I'm talking about. The Wind Gap guy sounds like Will Farrell in that skit where he can't regulate the tone of his voice, but Gary Lee is probably the most annoying person on the planet. I wonder if these guys really own the dealerships or if they're just paid spokespeople? Brown Daub Kia used to be fronted by some equally odd but slightly less annoying guy going by the name of Tom Ring.

Still nowhere near annoying as those insurance commercials.

"I wanna see ya .... in a Brown Daub Kia!"

Gary Lee has got to be one of the most annoying people ever.

Default can't hit the off button fast enough esp

for the family guy...didn't even know what dealership he's promoting I CAN hit it that fast....not sure how anyone in advertising would think annoying listeners is a good idea...love for him to go away (and take flo with him)

I want to punch Gary Lee in the face. Can't stand him. Would never patronize that business. I have a friend in Easton who was buying a Kia and purposely bought it in NJ instead of from Brown Daub Kia, just because of how annoying Gary Lee is. Wind Gap guy (Jeff Baskin I think?) is also annoying but nowhere near the Gary Lee level. Maybe not so much annoying, more like he just sounds like an idiot.

Tom Ring could be annoying, but I actually found him to be kinda funny on occasion. The most annoying thing with him was that "Everybody drives, boompa boompa boompa, everybody drives" part of the commercials. I remember one time I was radio station surfing, and he had the same commercial playing on 95.1, 96.1, 99.9, and 104.1 at the exact same moment. Wild.

Fortunately Jerry Horst of Chevy 21 does not see the need to act like a goofball on the radio.

I don't understand the marketing strategies these dealers employ. I'm guessing people either go to the dealer they are already aware of from living in the area, or use the dealer locator tool on the manufacturer's website. I can't see someone thinking "Well I was going to go to Keystone Kia, right by my office, but this Gary Lee guy I keep hearing on the radio sounds interesting so I'll check them out." I'm guessing most people are going to shop multiple dealerships anyway. Also there must be a lot of morons who fall for this "Minimum $10,000 for any trade in" BS because the dealers keep pushing it.

Most people I know do not listen to WZZO or the Hawk. Commercial radio from the commercials to the programming is awful and a dying relic.
