A little help please
Just went for my first look at Macungie area. By 1st impressions I was not that impressed. You have beautiful distant views, but up close there is a lot of industry and ugly buildings. We saw some homes in Upper Macungie and the view was an industrial park??? Can anyone tell me of a pretty area to live withing the Parkland or East Penn school district. I really haven't knocked this area of my list just yet. I didn't see the town in its entirety or surrounding areas. I am sure there is more to it, but I need help finding it. PS it was a cloudy overcast day, so most of the world would look gloomy.

I am in Lower Macungie and right out my window is a very nice view of the hills. Now, we just got lucky (and paid a $12,000 premium) to get this lot.
Seriously though, where we live there are no ugly buildings (hense the lack of tax base and high taxes). I guess it all depends where you are looking - we are in a development off of Saurekraut Lane.

Thanks, have not gotten to lower Macungie, Didn't quite know what the difference was, except taxes being higher. Are many homes in that area lucky enough to have a view without smoke stacks and big blue buildings in the way?

Did you look in Macungie the town and then up the hill towards Emmaus? I think that's the pretty area. I like to go through Macungie when I head Northwest to avoid parts of route 78. The more rural areas between Emmaus and Macungie and Lower Milford township are very scenic.

Anything in North Whitehall and most areas of South Whitehall are not industrial in any way. Most of upper macungie are close to industry now.
The southern parts of east penn are much less industrial. Maybe salisbury or southern lehigh?

There is nothing here but houses and farms. I think it's very pretty.

Parkland and East Penn
Check out South Whitehall & the extreme West End of Allentown which is very requested for Parkland school district.
Also it depends on what you are looking for New Contsruction or Resale housing.
