How's Bethlehem?
How is the economy in Bethlehem? How about stuff to do? Is crime a problem?

Bethlehem is a great city to be in right now. the population is growing, there are many different types of jobs available, also many great places for primary, secondary and collegiate education in the city. there is crime on the southside of bethlehem. The school district is ok, large influx of people from ny and nj going on in the valley right now. The lehigh valley mall is nearby, there are plenty of college sports, high school sports is huge; go a few miles north and you are in farm territory and into hunting area if that's your thing. Driving distance from philly and NYC. Big plans for the old bethlehem steel mill.

Bethlehem
I use to work in Bethlehem and it has nice parts but there is crime and there is a really crappy part that I would never live in. I would rate it a C.

never did I say i agreed with the big plan...I simply stated there were big plans...I personally think that a gambling license there would destroy the appeal the city has, however i do feel SOMETHING needs to happen to the site...Though part of it is being redeveloped as the lehigh industrial park, there seems to be lots of activity over there, the parking lots are being cleared, the old PBNE building got leveled, they're building some new warehouses on the site,so I guess the ball is rolling there...
