Default commute to kutztown

Considering about a job opportunity in Kutztown. We would rather live closer to Philly, for more of an urban environment, but is that asking for a ridiculous commute? Thinking of Bucks county or somewhere like Phoenixville. Per google maps, it looks around 40 miles of backroads/1 hr to get there, which is ok, but wondering if this is accurate. Also wondering about the road conditions in the winter, do these back roads get cleared or do you have to stick to main roads?

Any advice appreciated.

Hello,

Answering questions about a commute can be tough because it is really based on your auto comfort level. The Phoenixville to Kutztown commute is correct about 40 mile probably on a perfect day can be done in an hour. However, normally what is not factored into the commute time is getting behind lazy drives, school buses, or trucks. And taking 422 to 222 all the way out to kutztown would be tough once you get past Reading. I would honestly have to say it would not be as easy as it looks, figure on a 1 and 15min - 20 min ride everyday. And pray your not stuck behind the lazy driver.

Thanks
Jeff
