Default good schools, safe places to live along rte 222 between Lancaster and Reading?????

We are relocating and my knew job will be in Wyomissing, Although this seems like a great place to live it is a bit out of our price range. We would like to find other great places to live that also have great schools between Lancaster and Wyomissing close to rte 222. We are trying to stay within a 30 minute commute to Wyomissing. Thanks for your help.

I really don't know that area.

I used to lilve in Royersford (east on 422) and I know that the coventry area near Pottstown was nice, but I honestly don't know anything more about that area.

Hopefully, someone else will.

Good luck!

[quote=yellowdalmatian;3425454]We are relocating and my knew job will be in Wyomissing:
I grew up in West Lawn, just 2 miles west of Wyomissing. A 1955 era split level home recently sold in my dad's neighborhood for 125,000. The public school district is Wilson. My brother lives in Mohnton, about 6 miles from Wyomissing and his children go to Governor Miflin. The best thing would be to contact a realitor and go from there. Commutes are a pain, you can find something reasonable close. Holy Name is the Catholic high.

Exeter Township, which is East of Wyomissing, still has some reasonably priced homes and has a great school district. Also, the Muhlenberg school district is a good one as well - there's a great development (with fairly large lots) off of River Rd, in the 19605 zip code, I can't remember what it's called, but some of the roads are Bernard Dr, Glenside, Ashbourne Dr. It's less than 5 minutes off of Rt. 12 - maybe a 10 minute drive from Wyomissing. I don't know anything about the Lancaster area, but heard most parts are nice, some a bit older.
