Swim Lessons
hi there, just wondering if anyone takes their children to swim lessons in the area. When we last visited, i didn't see any gyms. If anyone can help me with that information, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I think there is swim zone ( I think that is the name of it) which is right in Upper Saucon. They do swim lessons.

Is there a Y near you? I'd check there first.

There are also YMCA's in Allentown and Quakertown. Until just this year I would have suggested the community pool in Coopersburg but when they closed it for the season last summer they announced that it needed a major overhaul and that it would not be open this coming summer. It was a very, very, active local pool so I hope they can get it up and running soon.
I've heard lots of good things about Swim zone and it couldn't be more convienent if you move into Valley Green - it's right off of Camp Meeting Road on the way to the Promenade shops. A friend swims regularly at the Rodale place up at Cedar Crest but I don't know how it is for lessons.

My son has been taking lessons at Swim-In Zone for the last 2 years and he loves it! We've been very pleased with his instructors and they have a large window in the party room to watch your child. Also, if you sign up for a weekly lesson and pay in full before the session starts, you receive a FREE Family Swim Pass for that session. This pass allows your immediate family (mom, dad and kids) to attend open swim on Friday nights, I believe starting at 6 PM. Plus, the water is heated to around 87 degrees, much warmer than the Y. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

Thanks graysmom8. I am feeling a bit anxious about getting the kids signed up for activities for the summer. We hope to move soon, but it may not be until July or even early August. We're hoping sooner than later. I hope I don't miss deadlines, the kids are so used to having activities during the summer.
