I agree with this. If you look on a map, it doesn't look that far, but 309 is only partly a thru-way. A lot of it is stop and go traffic. And if you did the turnpike route and lived in Bethlehem you would have to deal with routes 22 or 78, to go West, both of which are often clogged roads with truck traffic and accidents. We actually sold our house in Delaware county (good part of Delaware county) for the same price we bought one up here in Lehigh county, so for us there was no more bang for the buck. You also have to be careful buying in Allentown or Bethlehem as far as schools go for your resale value.

Yeah, but 309 has a lovely selection of both fresh produce stands and adult bookstores. What more could you want?
