Default Relocating..Bethlehem, Saucon Valley?

We just spent two days up there looking around to figure out which area to live in and I would really love to hear some opinions from those in the area. I love the area of Bethlehem and the small schools in Saucon Valley, but wanted to hear from you guys. We are coming from NC and those towns are so different because they flow into one another. Is there a area that you would steer clear of or a development that you would have us definitely consider? We loved the Promenade shops with school age children being in a neighborhood with lots of kids and good (safe) schools is important. Thanks for any input and all advice!

There's a poster that sometimes posts on here, Dannigirl, that just sold a townhouse in Hellertown. She may be able to help you, but she just wrote that she not only sold the townhouse, bought a house in Quakertown and had a baby. So, she might be a little busy.

BTW, The Promenade Shops are in Southern Lehigh School district. I could be wrong, but I don't think there are any bad areas in Hellertown, just as there aren't really bad areas of Coopersburg - they're just little towns.

Well I am not sure of your price range but if you love the promenade center, Center Valley & Coopersburg are very convientent in that area. If that is a little above you comfort level and depending on ammenities that you want in your surroundings Bethlehem would be nice, Hellertown maybe worth a look, also Parts of Salisbury MIGHT also fit your needs (posters please note the might). It really depends on price range, and ammenities in proximity.
