Easton nightlife/restaurants?
My fiancee and I have bought a home just north of Route 78 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey (High Bridge), which puts us about 30 minutes from downtown Easton. We enjoy dining out, window shopping, etc...in places like Lambertville, Flemington, Somerville, etc...but we're always looking for something new. Are there good restaurants/pubs? How about history? We don't have kids yet, so though we think the Crayola factory might be fun, it may look a bit odd if just the two of us go...

The State Theatre has live performances that are good. Welcome to State Theatre Center of the Arts, Easton - Index The downtown is a nice area for restaurants. Easton Main Street Initiative I have only dined in Easton once and I don't remember any details except it was a really good Italian restaurant within walking distance of the State Theatre. The crayola factory will be good to visit with friends children.

Already posted in a different post, but The River Grille and Sette Luna are two of my wife's favorite restaurants in Easton.

We've been meaning to try Pearly Baker's Ale House but haven't had the chance to try yet.

Sogo is also a decent place if you like sushi. It's not the greatest if you're used to eating sushi in NYC or something, but considering it's in Easton, it's pretty good.

I did some pub research there in prep for my move.
My favorite (funky with great beer selection) is 'Which's Brew'
You should enjoy it.

There's a big place opening up right on the square...don't know anything about it, but there's an orange liquor license banner in the window so seems like it will be at least a new restaurant to try out.

I agree. Even the comedians are not edgy.

Pearly Bakers has great food, Mother's sometimes gets decent bands in but it is more of a college bar. Stay away from Drink Drinkersons. They frisk you on the way in these days...not a good sign... Have seen alot of brawls there.
State theater has some good shows. We saw Chelsea Handler there over the summer and she was hillarious. They have alot of decent musical acts that play there as well.
Crayola factory on any given weekend is similar to 400 tazmanian devils on crack We took my neice and nephew there and I felt overwhelmed after a while.
Go a few minutes up 22 and head to downtown bethlehem (not southside) but the downtown has some great shopping, restaurants and beautiful architecture around the area.
