Default Any seafood markets?

Hi all,

I was wondering if there are any Seafood Markets in the Lehigh Valley. I looked it up under Yahoo Yellow Pages and found a few, but thought I'd bring it up here.

I usually go to Wegmans for my fish, but I find the variety to be a little lacking.

Thanks!

I go to the Allentown Farmers market. There is a fish market in there that I like.

kmom,
Where is Elias market? I did a google search and found one in Bethlehem but that seems kind of far from where you live. Always good to hear of another good food store.

I like the seafood at Valley Farm market. As I've mentioned on this forum before, their crabcakes are delicious.

I believe there is one on Union Blvd/Tilghman St going downtown Allentown from Bethlehem.

The address if I remember correctly is - 101 W Tilghman St - I have been there a few times myself and they seem to be the best around so far only thing is they clean just the inside of the fish but do not scale it for you - I miss my NJ and NY fish markets where they provide full service (scale, clean & cut into pieces if you ask them to)...lol

Thanks all for the replies. I will definitely be driving out to some of them to see what they offer.

I hear ya. I used to live in NJ also, and there were quite a few places where you can get the full service. I've never heard of a place willing to clean the fish but not scale them. Thats weird!

I never have problem with their fish. Quite a large variety of seafood and is cheap. Just went there last Sat. Bought 4 squids, 6 live crabs and a huge piece of salmon, all for $20.90 I can never get this much for this price at Wegmans

Yup....if you are buying like a whole tilapia or anything else that is not cut or sliced up you are responsible for scalling them yourself. They will gut and wash them for you though.

I was like HUH when the lady told me that so I had to just buy some salmon and shrimps...their prices are decent though compared to NJ & NY
