Question Builder Advice Forino Greth Homes

Hey All,
My wife and I are building a house, and we are deciding which builder to go with, and we are deciding between Greth Homes and Forino. Has anyone had any experience with either of these builders? Has anyone heard anything regarding quality, etc?

Thanks!

Default Forino Homes

In my oppinion Stay away from Forino homes, their customer service sucks. They put our yard in, it has rocks all over the surface, the grass didn't grow in most spots, the driveway is pitted, it just sank in the one corner, they use cheap materials, and our basement floor cracked all over the place. I could go on for days complaining about the problems we had with them!! FORINO SUCKS...

My husband and I build homes further up in the Pocono's. Last year, an employee of Greth Homes contacted us about building a home for his mom. It was just too far for Greth to take on as a project so they were looking for someone in close proximity to their building lot for site supervision and general contracting. This employee did contract our company, to build a Greth Home Design, (it's gorgeous) and all was a success.

This employee had a number of Greth contractors that were willing to travel the distance to their lot, and they all did a marvelous job. They showed up when they were supposed to & did quality work. This employee is also a customer service rep of Greth's, and we were very impressed with him, and we had the impression that Greth Homes is very happy to have him. I will DM you his name and contact info.

Sorry, I have never had any dealing with Forino homes, and therefore can't give an opinion, but it seems DisOwned said it all...

Good Luck with all you do!

I have friends who own/have owned homes from both builders. Forino builds a very basic, boring, no-frills house. Probably the cheapest of the Berks county builders. Not many standard features included. The communities tend to be very large, often 100+ lots. Most of Forino's designs have a dated, early 1990s look to them.

Greth is a little more expensive, a lot better detail and trim, just a less-cheap looking house. The communities tend to be a little smaller.

I don't know their customer service firsthand, but if both are in your price range, I'd go with Greth. They just seem to have a better looking product.
