I live right near the city line between Hanover and the city. Our house is directly below a flight path and, believe it or not, the noise really isn't bad at all. In the 8 or 9 years I've lived here, I've only experienced loud noise a handful of times.

It's a great area, and you shouldn't worry about noise.

Well, I wasn't able to see most of these replies before now (after the big shopping spree).

Currently looking at a properrty near the hanover twnsp municipal park.
Neighborhood looks nice. Didn't hear any jumbo jets buzzing the trees.
Also drove through Nazareth, Saucon Valley, College Hill, Bethlehem...all great looking areas.
We are looking forward to our time here starting in Oct or Nov.

I grew up in Hanover Twps and it is really nice. They have a great Community Center. However, if you are thinking about starting a family, you want to look at the schools. Hanvover Elem is good, however, the school district (Bethlehem) is not very good anymore. I would recomment Lower Nazareth area. I live there now and have kids in the school. It is a great school as is the Nazareth Area School District.
Saucon is also a good school district and nice area.
Northampton....stay away.

Just some food for thought.

We also live in Hanover township and I can't say enough good things about it! I hardly ever hear the airplane noise and we even sleep with a window open in our bedroom year round! We love the location and the people. The town also has wonderful things to offer. There are some beautiful neighborhoods here and the location to 22, 78, Wegmans, LV mall and everything else is perfect!

I'm 15 and in high school if you are a social person and like to be around people i suggest Bethlehem Township.. I attend freedom high school and i really like it. It is really diverse and REALLY fun if you have kids i would consider looking at the schools if you prefer the quite life then Nazareth is probably for you.
