Something I hate to see is the failing of an EMS unit. These are the people we depend on to be there in the nick of time.
Forks EMS did not comply with a Tuesday deadline to hand forward a financial data sheet and a business plan.
Vendors are waiting for their payments. They( Forks EMS) are also ignoring phone calls, and the town is wondering if they are solvent.
There is a $20,000 donation earmarked to the Forks EMS waiting in the wings..........it is being withheld at the moment.
Here is an article on this unfortunate news.
Emergency squad fails to answer financial calls - lehighvalleylive.com
Did some issue come up when the Advanced Life Support assignment went to Suburban of Palmer Township in August? Palmer was chosen as the one who would provide the best in service.
Whatever the case, Forks is a big and growing area right now. If there is some way of settling this, I hope it happens.
We sometimes forget how important this type of service is........until the day we have to make the call.

Thats so sad and very bad at the same time -- don't they have somebody in charge whose job it is to take care of this situation?

You know it seems there is too much politics going on in some towns. Look at Pittston, PA and the water being turned off at their fire dept.
Then there is this............
There is always two sides pulling one way or another.
Its my belief that a town should cover any and all expenses for fire safety and EMS services..........
Maybe they need Palin to come in and set some rules straight.......pay the bills due...and move that 20G donation into the proper location.
