If you have a choice you should look elsewhere. There are nice areas within that zip, but they usually are right next to areas that are not. Fountain Hill as a bordering borough to south Bethlehem is also 18015, there are some nice, inexpensive houses in that area, but as I said you will likely see a spill over from the bad areas.

Do not be afraid. Move to the great South Bethlehem. Sit on the New St. bench and talk to the bums. Get to know them. Once you do you will be set in the area. Last night I gave the big black homeless guy a dollar in change. I blew him off once and felt bad about it so last night when I came out of the bar where I had a few beers I gave him the change and apologized for last time. He said, "That's all in the past." So, these are the types of enriching experiences you can have in 18015.

I live in the 18017 zip code -- am right off on Schnoersville Rd by the Westgate Mall and close to LVH Muhlenberg and the LVI airport.

Very friendly neighbors, pretty quite area and a short distance to everything including downtown Bethlehem and other neighboring towns.

There are a few nice areas in the 18015 zip code but be careful !!!

You're probably going to narrow down "18015" a bit to get good advice. 18015 could be anything from a $1.5 million mansion in Lower Saucon to a beat up $80,000 ghetto rowhome in south Bethlehem.

LOL i live in 18015 and love it. i live in a mature neighborhood with older people and younger families with children and it is very quaint and quiet. it is off 378 off of colesville road. there are quite a few nice neighborhoods around here and i am a 15 minutes from 5 points (aka foundtain hill). near center valley is a good bet.

and yes - there are some WAY expensive homes here, but there are moderate ones as well. our house appraised for 455k.

good luck! dont shy away from 18015 - it is convenient to lots of things!
