Default Tornado in Allentown!

Possible tornado damages Dieruff High School in Allentown - News, Weather, Sports &amp Entertainment for Bethlehem, Saucon Valley, Lehigh County & more - lehighvalleylive.com

I was at a neighbors house for a little party and someone there said they heard that a tornado touched down out by Dieruff High School this afternoon and damaged homes in a six block radius! Of course, I had to google that when I got home - Wow! A tornado, right here in the Lehigh Valley! Everybody okay?

well at least in the places in pa i have lived tornado's have been relatively few and far between. definitely some warnings, but not that many touch downs. the landscape just isnt THAT conducive to them.....

i used to live in Iowa so that may also have something to do with it LOL!

Right on, I see what you're saying. We get plenty of warnings throughout the spring and summer months here in Mercer County too, but very rarely a touchdown. We did have a tornado touch down in November one year recently, it leveled half the town of Clark. Here's a cool page with some comprehensive data on PA tornado activity.
