Soup & Salad Buffets?
Hi all,
My wife and I are big fans of Soup & Salad buffet type places a la Souplanation and Sweet Tomatoes on the West Coast. We're entering our 3rd year in the Lehigh Valley and have yet to find a place like this. I found out there is a Cici's which I guess is a Pizza & Pasta buffet that I guess also has salad, but I was wondering if there was anything Soup & Salad in the area.
We don't like it just because of the buffet or anything, but we like the variety of soups and freshness of the salad bar. We go to places like Panera and am looking to try that new place in the Lehigh Valley mall. Any feedback would be great, Thanks!

Wegmans? Excellent soup. I've seen their salad bar, but haven't gotten it. The atmosphere is not the best though.

Souplantation
Ichiroll, I know what you mean about Souplantation. I live in So. Calif. and it's the best soup and salad place around. I checked on their website for locations, and unfortunately there aren't any in the northeast. That would have been great if they were since we're planning on moving to Lehigh Valley in the spring. Oh well, I guess we'll have to hope to find something just as good.

Thanks for the replies.
I've tried Wegmans a few times but I'm not a big fan of it. I feel it doesn't get the same customers that these salad places get, so the vegetables are many times too dry or been out too long. My wife seems to like the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday but I'm not really sure about it.
I went to a place called "Saladworks" yesterday off Schoenersville Rd which I thought was ok. Maybe I feel better about it just because of the name.
That leads me to another and totally random question, how do you pronounce "Schoenersville"? A few friends and family that have visited asked me and I didn't know.

Missing Sweet Tomatoes
I love the Lehigh Valley but I have been sorely disapointed with most of the resteraunts that we have tried. Most times, we opt to eat at home versus being disapointed with poor service, sub par food and long wait times. I miss Sweet Tomatoes (same franchise as slad works). Is anyone thinking of opening a frsanchise? We also miss a great place called Tiajuana Flats. I heard a rumor of new locations in the area but have not seen one yet, but we can always hope

I hear what you're saying. In general I think things are getting better though.
There are quite a few more restaurants that have popped up since we moved into the area almost 3 years ago.
Living in Easton, I like to try all of the newer places that open there. River Grille is ok, used to be better, my wife and I still like to go to Sette Luna and Valenca. Haven't tried Ocean yet, but have heard good things.
There are a few places that are painfully over-rated also though. Tried Kome, Melt, and Shula's all located in the Promenade over the holidays, all of which we felt wasn't worth the price at all.
Never been to Tijuana Flats (I think there is one about an hour away close to Philly?), but we like Cactus Blue. We ONLY have the Chile Relleno there though, so I can't really comment on there other stuff.

All this is making me really hungry, I'm going to go make a salad LOL
Schoenersville is pronounced "Shane - ers - ville" with accent/emphasis on the first syllable.

LOL!
Thanks for the clarification regarding the pronounciation. I had a buddy in college named Schoenherr, which was pronounced the same way.
Other possibilities I was thinking of were, "Show-ners-ville", "Skoo-ners-ville."
