Default Slatington Halloween Parade

Does anyone know when it is?
I can't find it listed on mcall.com
It is a pretty nice parade and hope we didn't miss it.

LV native, I looked on-line for you but also couldn't find it. I looked at the School District's site, the library's site, the Chamber of Commerce and the historical society. Assuming the parade goes down the main street of town, you could call one of the businesses and ask them about the parade. In Coopersburg they post signs two days before the parade to warn people not to park there on parade day.

I did find an interesting event that I was wondering if you, or anyone else, has attended - The Gathering. Northern Lehigh Historical Society - The Gathering - 2008 Sounds like fun.

What school district is this?

If it's Northern Lehigh, it looks like it's on Oct 26.

Awesome!! Thank you! If anyone has time, I suggest you go. The parade is at least 2 hours long and it is really good.
* toobusytoday, The gathering looks really neat!!

Slatington Halloween Parade: Sunday October 26, 2008. This year it starts at the high school and winds down towards the McDonald's in Walnutport. This is due to the bridge construction that is scheduled to be completed by the end of November.
The 'Gathering' is the first Saturday in October. It starts in the afternoon with crafts, hayrides, rails to trails walks and food stands. Local bands/musicians play during the day and into the night. Around 9pm they have a fireworks display followed by another 60 -90 minutes of music afterwards. My friends and I have enjoyed it for the past few years.

Red face Northern Lehigh Halloween Parade

As a relative newcomer to the area I often have difficulty finding Slatington information. Where is the web site for the borough?
Anyway, one of the problems is that most events seem to be prefaced by "Northern Lehigh" rather than "Slatington".
A call to the town hall revealed that Trick or Treat is from 6 to 8 PM on Oct 29.
For parade information - nothing to do with the boro- I had to call Pat and leave a message for her to call me back. Evidently the people at the town hall know nothing about the parade, not even when it is to be held. Perhaps I should have called the police dept or fire dept since they will no doubt participate. The school calendar does list it on Oct 26, but with no times posted. Last year it was in the evening at 7 pm if I recall correctly.
It would be very nice if townfolks would be notified somehow of local happenings. There was a community yard sale last weekend that I didn't know about until I noticed the one official sign near the hardware store. You really can't expect participation if you don't get the word out to the whole community!
