Default Second Harvest of the Lehigh Valley

A little different of a post but Second Harvest of the Lehigh Valley is conduction their holiday food drive. I thought this would be a good forum to get the word out and to ask for participation.

My companies goal is to raise enough food for 40 families, so we appriciate any help that we can get.

You can make a food donation at our Tilghman Square Office or our Whitehall location (behind the new wawa (macaurthur rd) on seventh st, across from the Lehigh Valley Ice Rink) starting this Saturday November 8th until Novemeber 22nd (which we will be hosting an open house for donations on this day as part of our big push).

Here is second harvests wish list:
Cereal, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Tuna (obviously canned), Rice, Pasta, Salt and sugar, canned vegetables, Canned fruit, canned meats and stews, soup, diapers, Laundry Detergent, Personal Care items such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc...)

Please help us help our neighbors in need.

Thanks
Jeff

Scouting for food is this weekend (SATURDAY the 8th) in the Lehigh Valley. This food also ends up at Second Harvest for some Scout troops. In Southern Lehigh School district the scout troops left a bag and a flyer at every house last weekend telling everyone to fill the bags and leave them by the mailbox. So grab a few extra things at the grocery store and support both of these great causes.

I heard there are many lehigh valley realtors that are in need of food donations and winter clothes. I am considering starting a charitable foundation to help these realtors in there times of need. Apparantly these realtors bought multiple homes during the housing bubble and can't sell or rent them now. Over 25% of homes purchased in 2005 alone were done as investments/2nd homes.

If you can spare a nickel or a old sweater for the realtors of the valley please contact me and I'll make sure they get everything they have coming to them.

Why must you put a negative spin on every topic? Why not move your comments to Craigslist Rant and Rave section, it might be appreciated there. People of all races, levels of income, levels of education are in need - why do you have to have something negative to say? Good people on here are trying to spread the word to help others and you have to make negative comments. Why not put some of your energy into helping those in need, instead of bashing them with your words.

Its easy to grin
when your ship has come in
and you've got the stock market beat

But a man worth while
is a man who can smile
When his shorts are to tight in the seat. hahahaha!!!!
What time is your foresome with Judge smails, dr. beeper, and bishop bickering.....since your living so high on the hog.

You know the Zen philosopher Basha once wrote, A flute with no holes, is not a flute. A donut with no hole, is a Danish. And never listen to someone who wear brown shorts to work everyday...
