Hi folks, I'm hoping someone can give me information on new homes being built in the Lehigh Valley, specifically Lehigh, Northampton, Berks and Bucks Counties. I've seen information online from LTS Builders, and they build very beautiful homes. However, they only build in the Poconos and my husband and I don't want to move to the Poconos. We are in very crowded Southern California now, and we don't want to go to another place that has a lot of people and traffic. That's why we're leaving here. We are looking for some space - a nice home (either new or resale) on at least 1 acre of land (2 acres would be even better). From what I've seen online, it looks like we will have a hard time finding a new home on that much land, so a resale would be OK too.
Anyway, if anyone has suggestions or links to builders in those areas I mentioned, please post them for me. Thanks much for your help. |

Rosanne,
Depending on your budget you should definately be able to find a new or newer home on 1 or 2 acres. In the ABE area it may be harder to come by (but doable depending on budget) but if you look out toward Weisenberg Township you shoud have more luck. There's a ton of new contstruction with 1 acre lot size minimums. Bucks also offers larger lots but will be more expensive than Berks or Northampton. Out of curiosity, what online search sites have you been using? |

Thanks for the response. I've been looking at the real estate ads in the Morning Call Newspaper, at realtor.com, homes.com, century21.com and some others. They mostly list resales, which is OK, but we were interested in websites that list new homes. Which towns comprise Weisenberg Township?

Rosanne,
Weisenberg Township is a standalone municipality, so it's not comprised of smaller towns per se. You may want to try www.lvarmls.com. It's the local MLS site which will show you both new and existing homes. The sites you were searching on either require the listing to be advertised there(mcall.com) or port data out of the MLS system which will sometimes leave out listings. I did a search and found 15 homes in Weisenberg Twp., most of which were new. Anyways, let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Mike |
