My friends, this article tells it all. We, like many others, are counting the days until we can get out of California. We heard on the news the other day that for Californians who will be expecting a state tax refund this year, we will be getting an IOU. Can you believe it!!!

Wish us luck because it looks like we will need it.

That's why I got out of Cali when my navy term was up (in 2007), and moved back east. Anyone who didn't see disaster coming in California simply was ignoring the facts. All the people I served with (who were not from Cali) moved out, also. All the californians I knew couldn't understand why I wanted to get out...now, unfortunately, they know. Maybe it's because this happened to most of the cities out here years ago and we're accustomed to it, and saw it coming or something.
