I live in allentown pa. I want to rent a house in whitehall, emmaus, wind-gap pen-argyl or the south side of allentown. I am on section 8. I now have a 4 bedroom house on the north side of allentown. It is875.00 a month. I have been living here for 14 months. I live with my 2 teenage kids, boyfriend and a dog. I must find a house where the dog can live too. I must give my landlord a 2 month notice. I need a house with a yard with a frence around it. I am getting 900.00 dollars back but must wait until my landlord can give it to me.

Sunshine,
What is it you want us to do? I would suggest you contact a Realtor and ask if they deal with Rentals. Also check out the morning call's classified and this lehigh valley apts/housing for rent classifieds - craigslist Craig's list. Good luck!

I thought that someone might know where houses are for rent. sometimes i walk around and see them. so if someone needed to move into a house or a apartment i would tell them about them . it is hard for me to find out of town places. like emmaus i can take the bus there. i would have to call about a house and get someone to drive me there. or maybe landlords will look at your site.

If you are on section 8, is the dog really a necessity?

there are houses for rent in these area but there may not be a readily available section 8 home. That is where it will be very difficult.

. I had my dog since she was 5 months old. I would get rid of her but i feel that it would not be a good thing for her. She is spoiled and sleeps with us. we are the only family that she has. I would get rid of her if i had no other choice. So i for now she stays.

I'm just saying, if it were me, the dog would go. I'd much rather have the satisfaction of using any income I had to support my family, instead of taking government/taxpayers money to support an animal.

Thats the end of my rant. Good luck finding a house.

Well, my two cents are : every family needs a pet. Pets have been shown to decrease blood pressure, relieve stress, and promote emotional stability. To tell someone to just "get rid" of a pet is in very poor taste. The dog is part of the family. If the dog is well behaved and not destructive, I don't see why Sunshine should not be able to find housing to accommodate all of her needs.
