jimmyrocks is on a distinguished road
I do have to agree, I grew up in the Valley, and the only times I go to Musikfest is when my band is playing, or a friend's band is there. But when I was in HS, it was THE thing to do.

I'd rather have a parade block a few streets for a few hours then construction blocking the main artery for months. Anyone been on 309 going through Coopersburg lately??

I like our community day celebration here in September - All kinds of yummy ethnic and junk food!

Allentown has one, then bethlehem has to have one. ts ridiculous.

How dare they interfere with Stavs!!! Now I'm really mad! Those self centered SOBs!

BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!! Your St. Patrick's Day celebrations pale in comparison to what we have up here in Scranton. High school cheerleaders vomiting in the streets, drunk "Joisey" frat boys from the University of Scranton brawling and pushing each other through cafe windows, Irish wannabes running around shirtless with their gross hairy and sweaty chests painted green, etc. In most cities this WOULD be considered an embarrassment, but in NEPA it's considered "pride."
