Default Inspection recommendations

Thanks to everyone who helped for the great advice about the area. We just finished our house hunting trip and found a nice place in downtown Bethlehem. Just signed papers today to get this going!

We are arranging inspections from a few states away so it's harder for us to shop around on inspectors. Our real estate agent recommended people for inspections but was wondering if you had experiences with these companies.

1. HomeTeam Inspection Service
2. AmeriPro
3. Pillar To Post

Or if you have recommendations of your own we will be glad to know about it.

I don't have any recommendations for house inspections (we did our own. My husband is a professional engineer and the house had a warranty so we skipped it) but I was wondering which area of Bethlehem you decided on. Downtown, historic district, by Moravian?

The downtown area a bit north of Bethlehem. Best way of describing it based on how I "see" the area in my head is just past the Linden St. and Easton Ave split off of Linden. A couple blocks past The Cup, which we're told is something of a Bethlehem-famous place.

Any thoughts about the area there?

I used Allied. Extremely professional and courteous. The inspector was very thorough.

Ours used up the full 3 hours. They looked at everything and commented on how to fix things. They also give you a binder of usefull information along with your report. A little pricier than the others, but worth it.
