Thumbs down John it is no secret that a former Mayor Daddona

John, it is no secret that a former Mayor Daddona went to New York City speaking to hispanic groups and encouraging them to relocate here.

He wanted additional Federal Funding. Within months they took over 7 TH Street. It created all kinds of problems, the one that continues is the Double Parking on 7 TH which is a State Highway, Route 145.

No one had done this before or even thought to try it because it makes a three lane road to single lane instantly.

Next they had in the home old sofas on all their sidewalks to side out on. It looked terrible and it was dangerous because of firers.

We had some strong leadership then and they got the sofas moved off the sidewalks. BUT NO ONE HAS EVER GOTTEN THEM TO NOT DOUBLE PARK ALL OVER ALLENTOWN!!

They are usually the identified drivers of hit and run vehicles and usually have no insurance and lack drivers licenses.

This area always welcomed new arrivals and the hispanics have made their own problems.

The requested a Puerto Rican Pride Parade, the first year they had people shooting guns in the air, hispanic drivers going through red lights because the flags they covered their car hoods with blocked their vision.

After the first year the city said NO MORE. After two years they convinced the city to have a shorter and more controlled parade.

We have had a St. Patrick's Day Parade for a century in Allentown. NOT A SINGLE ST. PATRICK'S PARADE IN ALL THOSE YEARS HAD THE PROBLEMS OR ARRESTS THE P.R. Pride Parade did the first time.

People are trying to leave the city if they can. Many moved to the suburbs but now they are getting the same people in their suburban sanctuaries.

The Sacred Heart Hospital had a PR. doctor in their clinic for hispanics. It was discovered he had TB and brought it from PR.

The publisher of the first hispanic news paper was arrested for taking nasty photos of young hispanic girls and they had to close the paper.

You cant lump them all in together though. Not all PRs or DRs are bad. Its inner city people, or urban folks imo. I prefer to just think its the New Yorkers that are the problem.

Default I agree not a PR are bad.

I agree not all PR' are bad.

But then the bad ones are the only ones we have living and dying in Allentown.

Off the three major gangs documented in Allentown, two are PR.
