Smile If you are looking to move to Macungie you need to

If you are looking to move to Macungie you need to be aware of this and other issues right now. Another issue is who is going to pay for their Police Force. Some feel crime is gotten so frequent they need their own Police Force and not be part of the Regional Force.

Lower Macungie weighs maintenance law

Some think ordinance would unfairly saddle property owners

By Patrick Lester
OF THE MORNING CALL
August 23, 2009

Homeowners in Lower Macungie would see their property maintenance to-do lists expand under a proposed law that one township commissioner says will have a ''pretty profound'' impact on residents.

The Board of Commissioners is considering an ordinance that would make property owners responsible for everything from repairing and replacing damaged sidewalks and street trees to maintaining lawns, shoveling snow and keeping gutters free of debris.

That is lower macungie, not macungie. They are considered two different townships now. Macungie already has a steady police/fire dept and little crime.
