Unhappy Bethlehem

Anyone know anything about Bethlehem? Some friends and I are looking into schools there. Just found out that the school I was planning to attend in the fall doesn't have any housing available. How easy or difficult is it to find affordable housing in Bethlehem? I can afford around $600/month. Also, while attending my first college, I unfortunately overspent, and currently my credit is not the best. I was just wondering how flexible landlords would be, as my old school is in a college town, and landlords occasionally made exceptions for students. Thanks.

Donna, are you talking about attending Moravian or Lehigh? Here's a link that might help if you are looking at Lehigh, or maybe even if you're going to Moravian. Looks like there's some public information there too: http://www.lehigh.edu/~ingrador/housing.html

Here's a national student housing search site: http://studentrent.com/about.php Just down the road (about 10 minutes) from Lehigh is DeSales University so lots of students in the Bethlehem area. The Morning Call is the local newspaper and some of it's classifieds are online at www.mcall.com If I were you though, I would just reach out via facebook and friend some current students. Somebody is bound to know someone that has space. Good luck!
