Easton Hospital?
Over the weekend, had a health concern with our 20 month old son. We just moved to Palmer Township, and have chosen a new doctor in this area, but that office doesn't have our records yet, so calling their service on a Sunday wasn't an option since they don't know who we are yet. Anyway, he needed to be seen, suspected a seizure due to high fever....scarey, so we went to the closest ER. Easton Hospital. We were there for over 3 hours, and we spoke to a few people in the waiting room that had been there hours before us...so it wasn't like we all showed up at once! We saw a doctor for all of 5 minutes...and were really treated quite rudely by the nursing staff that seemed bothered that they actually had to do their JOB and care for patients.
Just wanted opinions of Easton Hospital, their ER and for future reference, what hospital and/or ER would you recommend?

Yesterday afternoon, he woke from his nap with a thick discharge from his ear.....THAT is infection. Our new family doctor fit us in and sure enough, infection in both ears.
So we wasted time, money and most important....our son went another whole day in pain.

Easton Hospital is a good ,decent medical center.
For most anything except severe child injuries, St Luke's is our first choice.
Then Hershey or Chop is tops for Severe Child injuries. I prefer Hershey Medical.
Btw---Many times LVH ships out severe child traumas to Chop or Hershey.

We have heard from a few people about St. Lukes. I'm familiar with Hershey and CHOP, as a child I had 2 operations at CHOP....I was born outside of Philly and was raised in Chester (right on the edge of Lancaster) County.

Since I am a native, I suppose I am biased...LOL! I have lived in rural areas (Lancaster County) and in the city (King of Prussia, Norristown and Media). A lot of my ex husband's family was from upstate. I moved to NJ 2 years ago to be with my Fiance, We bought a house in Palmer Township 2 months ago. I really like it.

I had a great experience at Easton Hospital. The maternity unit has all private rooms and is quaint, not like some larger hospitals where you are simply a number. I would recommend it highly!
