Default Nice color combinations.

I like how they painted a lot of those old buildings. It seems like they have
taken on a new life for themselves. If the arts organizations in many of Americas' inner cities would get involved in doing the same how much more
livable these downtowns would be!

Default I love JT

One of the great things about living in the S. county is being closer to JT... One of the last places we toured before I moved to Florida was Jim thorpe. We was my mother before she died (of brain cancer) and my son-before he grew up and took on the attitude of 'pay me to be your son'...

I go there often now as a seasonal resident of the southern luzerne county. And I will probably go there tomorrow now that the weather has chilled. It reminds me of that final day. I love being close to this town and I don't miss the wyoming valley. I've come to love my little gated community here in the poconos.

Besides that, I just love JT for it's eccentricities. Kinda like you said , like key west ... Makes you want to rent a scooter and cruise the streets.
Soon, I'll be heading back down there. But not b4 adding to the memory bank...

I also took a pic of that PT cruiser.

What a great slideshow...I grew up in JT - but never really appreciated the beauty and charm of the town until I moved away. Your tour brought back some great memories, thanks!
