Well, Men's Health seemed to think higher of Lexington just 3 years ago when it ranked our fitness as being 81 out of (I guess) 100. Although we are the most sedentary city now, in 2008 we finished 4th in their Life rank category so we must live longer despite sitting on our arses.

Just goes to show you some pencil pushers look at a few statistics and make less than scientific rankings based on it. No doubt Lexington is less active than some bigger cities but I find it hard to believe it ranks last. Also, people from rural areas come to Lexington for medical treatment. If you believe the poorer, more rural areas significantly contribute to CDC care then Lexington's numbers would obviously be skewed to more of a Kentucky ranking rather than a Lexington ranking. Seems to make more sense since Kentucky, as a state, is often ranked in the top 5 for obesity rates but just like anything else within a state you can find pockets that diverge from the norm. Kinda like how Chicago is a great but the state of IL isn't, for example.
Sure is nice, though, to see some posters trying to flex their e-penis by posting pics of their own slice of heaven. If you have a bike and know anything you would have seen Lexington's newly opened trail - Legacy Trail. But everyone can go back to saying Lexington doesn't offer anything.
