Westchester on the Circle Apts: Leestown Rd? (Lexington, Nicholasville: apartments, houses)

Hello! Westechester on the Circle apartments on 1705 Leestown Rd. Could you tell me if that area is ok and if those apts look pretty good? They are gated, which is great, but makes me wonder if there is a reason too. We are moving from the Seattle area in about 10 days and really need help since I´ve never been to Lexington. We´d greatly appreciate your input. Thanks!!

I don't know any specifics about those apartments. I know they've been there for a long time, but that's pretty much it.

They are located in an area that is unique. They are right beside where you get on one of our main areas to travel around town - New Circle Rd (#4). They are also right across the street from a shopping center that would be very convenient. They sit next to an older and established neighborhood with some nice homes housing mostly an older demographic. There's an very old shopping center just up the road from them that houses some older business and a couple mom/pop kinds of restaurants. The area is unique because it's a busy travelled area, but I would think would be considered safe. If you go just past the New Circle Rd interchange (which is right beside these apts), then you come to a VA hospital and some industrial/business areas. On out Leestown Rd are several established newer and growing neighborhoods. You'll also find Masterson Station Park where many parks and rec events are held as well as the city fair every year. You would be about 5-10 minutes from down town. About 1 minute from New Circle to head just about anywhere. About 5 minutes from Versailles Rd. About 20 minutes from Nicholasville Rd. Sorry I don't know specific info about the apartments.

What Bluegrass Girl said is about all I know about the apartments. Next year my divorce will be final and I have been investigating apartments, Westchester is one of the communities I am considering, although older they seem to have good ratings on aptratings website and in the 20 years I have lived in the Lexington area have not heard anything negative about them.
