Unfortunately I would have to agree here. Some of my best friends are Catholic and they've had no problems, but I have a friend who is Muslim and another who is Jewish and my muslim friend in particular is not "shunned" but has a "rougher time."

I just came back from a visit to Nicholasville just outside of Lexington and there is one of the most wonderful orthodox Catholic Churches I have ever been to there. As a Catholic, you may want to consider this area - I sure am! Also, the people we talked to were very welcoming and helpful. Blessings
