Default Southeastern ky

hello,

We are currently living in Fl. Tampa Bay area. The taxes and insurance are killing us!! My family is from Clay/Leslie co. ky and we are thinking about relocating. We have talked to them about it and of course, they are telling us that is all perfect. So I thought I would come here and see what kind of answers I would get. My hubby is in construction and i don't think there are many housing develpments there, although our family tells us that it will be NO PROBLEM! What are the schools like in that area? Taxes, crime.. any info ya'll could come up with would be greatly appreciated. We are looking in the London, Corbin, Somerset areas but would rather be closer to family (Manchester)

Thank you in advance

I can tell you that Manchester/Clay County doesnt' have anything. A majority of the people travel to Corbin, London, or beyond. I'm from Corbin, and you will have to travel to find work if you relocate to Clay Co.

I think any of the three would be a good choice. London and Corbin are both nice towns, and still close to your family. Corbin will give you more convenience to TN, while London is closer to Manchester. Somerset is not all that far away, and is a great little town. Lots to do and see if you enjoy the outdoors. I personally love the Somerset area, and spend as much time as possible there at our little cabin. We even love the area in the winter! Hope this helps.
