Things are just cheaper there also. Maybe some of the people you work with just prefer city to smaller town life (although Nicholasville feels more like a suburb of Lexington than a small city near Lexington
at times)
Honestly it is whatever you are into. If you are a city person or perfer to be more out in the country... Me personally I am more of a city person and would perfer to live in lexington.
If you want to be more "away from the action" then nicholasville would suite you more. Also If I were to live in nicholasville I would live as close to lexington as possible as most of everything is in Lexington.
But it all depends on how much you make, what you want to live in, what you want to live AROUND, and what you like to do. The majority of people I know perfer lexington over nicholasville.
Ask yourself, Do you like the city or do you want to live out in the country? Would you mind living around a lower class of people(some areas in nicholasville are better than others)? What are you use to?
