Versailles is a little overrated to me, although I get the appeal. Harrodsburg is underrated but at least as nice as a whole as Versailles.

Paris is very nice, although Stoner Creek seems to flood the town every 2-3 years.

Midway and Frankfort are my top picks.

Danville's still a viable option, but I went back there in May and found it disappointing compared to what I remember. It just seemed like it has stagnated.

Other asides:

Georgetown is not bad, but overrated. There's a nice downtown district and college campus, but the rest of the town is ruined by typical cheap suburban Kentucky Ball Homes-esque crap development.

Nicholasville, Richmond and Winchester are dumpy towns overall but have enough money and civic pride to revitalize buildings and life in their historic districts. At least they are trying and I wish them luck.

Lawrenceburg sucks, to be perfectly frank. The potential's there, but the town's leadership is not.
