Berea Natural Bridge, near slade (not in the same county with Berea, typo?)

Berea is in southern Madison County, about 35 miles south of Lexington via I-75; Natural Bridge state Park and nearby Slade and the Red River Gorge are off of the Mountain Parkway, accessible via I-64, mostly in Powell County.

Red River Gorge nice but stay away from the edges

Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill dull unless your mormen

Mormon?? What on earth does that have to do with the Shakers?? Totally different in all ways! Shakertown would appeal to anyone interested in history, religious sects of the 19th century, architecture, cabintry and furniture, agriculture, good food, riverboat rides - and this weekend, Kentucky crafts - a fair is underway.

Mary Todd Lincoln House she was a *****, skip it

Hardly. Mary Todd Lincoln was a highly intelligent, cultured and highly educated woman, who also seems to have suffered from bipolar disorder, which apparently ran in the Todd family. Visit her girlhood home and learn the truth.

Kentucky Horse Park not too bad but very spred out, where good shoes

Where good shoes?? Try your closet or the shoe store, then WEAR them!

State Capitol Building going to a gov'mt bldg? dull

Nope, architecturally astonishing. Have you ever been inside??

Cane Ridge Meeting House outside Paris never heard of it and I live 18 miles away

Time to visit, then. Cane Ridge was the heart of the Great Awakening of the early 19th century - think camp meeting revival, then multiply by about 1,000. The Disciples of Christ Church developed after the Cane Ridge Revival(s). The meeting house is a large log building, unique for its time and place and nicely preserved.

Fort Boonesborough State Park go here on Sept 14th only (Unknown Hinson plays)

Nice to know - thanks for the heads-up.

Scenic Drive along US 68 - Maysville to Paducah 2 lane road with curves while kids are texting, ouch
Cumberland Falls Moonbow -good choice for couples
Natioanl Corvette Museum -good if your into cars

Frazier Museum never heard of it

Location? Contents? I also am unfamiliar with the Frazier Museum.

Floyds Knobs for Hubers Winery I think this is almost in Indiana? but heard good things

Bardstown

Bardstown's main attraction is My Old Kentucky Home State Park, home of Stephen Foster's Kentucky cousins and believed to be his inspiration for our state song. Check out the outdoor musical drama about Foster, offered during the summer months. St Joseph Proto-Cathedral is also in Bardstown, along with historic Talbott Tavern, a good place to eat.

Kentucky Derby Museum -good combined with slugger deal

Elizabethtown Renfro Valley stay away from both places hick citys

Far apart - Renfro Valley acts often include cheesy humor, but outstanding bluegrass and country music. Good, ample, inexpensive homestyle food at the log restaurant right across the road, too. Nice collection of old log buildings, local souvenirs, a few antiques, folksy place with a very popular Christmas production and weekly Renfro Valley Barn Dance concerts on Saturday nights.

Hofbrauhaus good choice but almost in Ohio, get a six pack down the street

Mammoth Caves -great choice, check times open on website, dress for 52 degrees
Good advice - but again, it's Mammoth Cave (National Park)- no "s" on the end of "Cave"; it's just one great big enormous mammoth-sized cave, the largest in the world.

You've outlined enough activities to keep you busy visiting Kentucky for years to come! Enjoy your visits.
