Default Housing near Grocery places

Dear Folks,

I have been here in Lex for a week and I must say the town is beautiful!! The snow fall yesterday just added to the charm of the place! I am currently on a short visit here and will head back home in a couple of weeks before returning here for good with my family. I have checked some apartments in the Hamburg area and that area seems wonderful! My priorities are a safe neighbourhood, good shopping areas nearby (including groceries) and some restaurants. Since we dont have kids yet, schools are not a priority. Yes, a lot of info and reviews are available on different sites but nothing like getting inputs directly from people who actually live there! Your earlier advise has been of great help and hence I would request you to suggest some good areas to live and help me again.

Regards
AK

I'm not sure if anyone answered this question about CPA. I admit that I'm not an authority on the subject, but I do NOT think an Indian CPA would be equivalent to a US CPA. I think working as a CPA in the US would require knowledge of American tax code (?)

Yes, hence a US CPA would have to be appeared for.

^I would ask your employer, if it's okay with them.

Your first post started out...

I am an Indian (Asian) late-twenties, moving to Lexington for employment. I am being transferred to the place and I could not turn down the opportunity of experiencing a new city!...
So, you are being transferred by your employer right? Or maybe I misunderstood.
I use to know a lady who was an accountant but not a CPA,(but she worked for a few local businesses.) some employers will evidently hire you without being a CPA....it would depend on the employer, I suppose.

(Take what I say with a grain of salt, I knew her a decade ago, and don't know a lot about this particular field.)

Oh Ok. Yes, I am being transferred by my employer and hence I obviously have a decent job. However my wife cannot work at my company due to various policies and to avoid bringing in any biases.
