Default Destination 2040

The Mayor today announced the Destination 2040 project. It is designed to give a broad based set of ideas on where Lexington should place its emphasis and money. You can check out their website Destination 2040.

Maybe we could come up with some of our suggestions and submit them

The people on this thread have a lot of good ideas. Also there are some who have lived here a long time and some who have just moved here. Each of us have desires about the future of Lexington. How do we keep what we like? How do get what we don't have? How do we balance it out without coming to blows? The people here live in different sections of town, have friends in other neighborhoods. If we can propose some ideas and maybe even coordinate some of the local meetings, we can be a part of the solution.

I think this is a great idea! I would love to be involved. Lexington has changed so much since I was young and I'm glad there is some long term planning. I wish someone had had the foresight to do this long ago.
