Hey Guys,
I was wondering if some one can shed some light on the income tax situation in Kentucky.I haven't officially moved to Lexington yet but I have started working here( I fly back on the weekends). To me it seems that a lot of money is being taken out of my pay check even though I have 4 dependents.I did submit an updated K-4 to my employer.
There is also KY LEXFAYETTE tax besides the regular KY withholding. Is KY LEXFAYETTE withholding normal? Is there another tax withholding form for KY LEXFAYETTE ?
Thank you!
Yes, that's normal...I am not too happy about it either, but it is what it is, I guess....it was the same when I last lived and worked in Louisville, you payed a Louisville tax and also a Jefferson Country tax (Ofcourse haven't lived there since 1987!)
Anywhere that I have ever lived, they have taken out for local taxes also. Everyone wants their share of your money!
(I think it may vary from County to County on the rate charge though...)
