Default Where to find affordable yarn in Lexington

What are good places in Lexington to find craft supplies at reasonable prices? Are there any discount yarn stores in or around Lexington? Is there a Hobby Lobby or Michael's Craft store there? Are there any other crocheters on this forum? Any crochet groups meeting in Lexington?
Thanks.

There is a Hobby Lobby almost all the way to Nicholasville. There are two Michael's craft stores - one on Nicholasville Road, and the other one is in Hamburg. Michael's has been having very nice yarn lately.

OK, there is a yarn store called the Stitch Niche, on Moore Drive, and they have a fabulous selection, and lots of knitter/crocheter groups that meet there and seem to have a great time. Warm Up America is a big thing for them there.

There is a really beautiful yarn store called Magpie Yarn, but it isn't cheap. If you like the newer fibers such as bamboo, that's your place. Wonderful stuff! They also have knitting classes and groups. Not sure about crochet.

The nicer shops usually have a bargain rack or bin. I'm a knitter and absolutely crazy about yarn.

Last but not least, I have actually found nice yarn at a dollar store on Southland by the railroad tracks. I have no idea how he was carrying such nice yarn for $1/skein, but WOW! There it was. I haven't knit up the huge stash I got there yet, so haven't been back to see if he got more..... worth a look IMHO.

There's also a Michael's on Nicholasville Road at Lowry Lane by Kroger's.

Thanks for the info on the yarn stores. I'm not bringing all my yarn with me, so need to know where to go to rebuild my stash. Hobby Lobby has a new yarn that is pretty nice, much softer than Red Heart.
I have seen some doll house miniatures at some of the Dollar Tree Stores here in New Mexico. But that's a long drive!

I must admit that my eyes do not usually notice dollhouse miniatures. They could be there and I would not even notice. Now, beads and yarn... That is a whole 'nother story!

I wish I could be more helpful...
