Hi and thanks to everyone who have been leaving feedback. I didn't take the place around High Street but found another near by. I hope to be heading to Lexington later next week. I'm looking forward to the move now and really appreciate all the comments about making the move.
This is going to be a big change for me. Where I'm at now is a remote ranch about fifty miles from town. The population in this whole end of the county is only a few hundred. There's a post office and liquor store about 20 miles from here and that's it for local shopping. It will take some time to adjust to being in a city again. I love to walk and am looking forward to being able to walk most of the places I need to go. And being able to go for groceries, without making a hundred mile + trip over the continental divide. The country here is beautiful, esp. the mountains, but Kentucky is beautiful too, and green [I'm in a high desert area]. I'd like to know the name and contact information for basic local phone service only. I use phone cards, so never have to worry about long distance bills. Just my luck, the internet provider I had for several years ago in Oregon also has dial up service in Lexington, so just need to get my phone connection set up. Thanks everyone whose been posting to this thread. ![]() |

Zoe, I just changed from Windstream to our cable/internet provider and am saving some change. Insight is the cable/internet/phone provider that many choose and they do have some deals for new customers. It's like $99 for all three for new customers - probably another deal if you didn't want the cable.
