hi all...
i'll be coming to lexington,ky in oct. for a course at nash academy. i wanted to know..i have a sony ericsson P990i. and someone told me that i wud'nt be able to use this phone out in usa as its not compatable. can someone help me with that? also i needed to know since i'm from india what are the best cell fone service providers and how do they work? do all of them work on the contract thing where u have to take the cell fone itself from them? or are there sim cards too that can be worked out if my cell fones compatable? please do let me know thanks

The major providers here are AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile. I have AT&T and my phone has a SIM card and I know mine works outside of the USA. I'm not an expert so I'm not sure about your phone.

you could also try CricKet. they are cheap, and can use phones from the other carriers on their service
they are no contract as well
