We are in the market for a used minivan with low miles at a bargain price. I found Motorvation Motor Cars on line and they seem like a good start. Any other ideas for places to look? Used car shopping is very stressful because I'm always nervous about unscrupulous dealers.

Help!

Thanks.

Personally, I H-A-T-E car dealerships. Logically, they can only make money by ripping people off. I'd much rather deal with an individual car seller

We actually bought our used car off of e-bay. I've had it 2 years and it's been great! With Car Fax you basically get the same info on any used car (unless you're lucky enough to stumble across a one owner car) regardless of where you buy it. Also Car Max will ship any car from the same region to the closest CarMax site (Louisville) for $150.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely checking out Carmax. Any other ideas?

My friend just bought an Explorer from Motorvation. He seems really happy with his experience with the place. On my recommendation he used Roy Gillespie. I watch their show everyweek and thought Roy seemed like a normal person. I went with my friend while he test drove several vehicles. Roy was pretty laid back and not pushy at all. Motorvation seems to price their cars lower that other dealers, but does not budge much on price.

P.S. I wouldn't go to courtesy. I looked at a car there a couple years ago. They wouldn't give me a price, just wanted to talk payment. Never tell them what kind of payment you can handle. I once told a salesman the payment I could handle and he got me a van for that payment..........at 9% interest. I told him with a 700+ credit score I should not have to pay more than 6% (at that time). Guess what, he got me 6% and a lower payment than I had told him.

I've gotten a couple of used cars from Don Jacobs on North New Circle. That was a generally positive experience from an established dealer.

I have heard LOTS of good things from people who have bought vehicles on ebay.

Buying a car is always stressful - I hope everything works out well for you.
