wedding dress alterations?
Can anyone recommend a place in Lexington, preferably on the South side closer to where I live, to get my wedding gown altered? I prefer not to take it to a bridal shop.

I don't know any on the south side but if you can't find someone close to you I highly recommend Sew Fine on the corner of Euclid and S. Ashland. The woman there does a lot of wedding dresses.

I had a bridesmaid dress altered at a shop on Main Street--the Button Hole, I think. They did a good job and didn't over charge me.

If you haven't found a tailor yet, I would be interested in altering your gown. I've owned and operated an alteration shop specializing in bridal for 26 years

In noticing that my post has been read 503 times, I thought I would post my business name and address: The Needle's Eye Alterations 859-278-4394. References available on request. Thanks for considering my shop for your alteration needs.

Although I've never used her services (I have a friend do all my minor alterations), there was a very complimentary write-up in the Lexington Herald-Leader about Inta's Alterations, which is located on Patchen Drive.

I have used Inta's before. They do a nice job but are extremely busy. Their hours were not convenient for me so I swithced to Sew Fine on Euclid. I have been happy with her service as well.
Both Inta's and Sew Fine do a lot of wedding and pageant alterations.
