Lexington Bars
I just moved to lexington and is there any websites with a bar guide of Lexington...also does anyone know of bars in the downtown area that play hip-hop music (people like kanye, talib, common, underground also). Its the kind of music I like to listen to when I go out. Thanks

I don't know any places in Lex that plays Hip Hop, but there may be some places areound UK that do. I like the outdoor decks of The Atomic Cafe and Cheapside, but neither are Hip Hop.

Im afraid you wont find much real Hip-hop in Lex. If any bars do play it, its mostly the college ones & its that top 40 garbage Hip-hop that you hear on mainstream radio.

The closet you might find would be Hugos, or Gustos. I think there is a new bar opening in Victorian Square that might play it, or maybe just techno, might be something to check out..I haven't been there yet.
