Updated help on hair salons?
Can someone suggest a trusted hair salon from a recent visit, say, this spring or summer? Looking for highlights and a good, not necessarily the most trendy, cut.

Stephanie at Woodlands Salon does the best highlights I've ever had. I am not sure if she is taking new clients or not but the phone # is 226-9887.
Woodlands is an Aveda salon so that is the only product line they use.

Josephina's Gossip Shop on Rosemont Garden is AWESOME. The owner is Paige McCool, and she is very talented and personable. The interior of the shop is a treat as well.

trish, I'm so glad you asked this question. I'm planning on moving down in May 09 and this info will benefit me. I'm keeping many of the information responses in a note book so I will have some things ie. places to eat, shopping etc.

So, here I'm updating myself. I took a chance and went to Euphoria in the Palomar Shopping Center on Harrodsburg Road. I got a great cut from Elizabeth there, and my 14-year-old daughter also was happy with a cut she received from Nicole. I have not gotten my highlights/lowlights (I'm behind the times, not sure what the lowlights part is) yet, but I will definitely go back there and report again after that. Elizabeth even took me next door to RiteAid and showed me a round brush thingy that blows air as I am style-challenged. Not cheap - 86 bucks for 2 haircuts and some product, but worth it in my view.

Ok, I'm a guy and I don't suppose my opinion counts for much (in a lady's mind anyway), but I'm partial to Deanna over at Posh Salon in French Quarter Square.  |
