Older singles (Lexington: best, young, women)

I just turned 54 and am wondering how the singles scene (not quite sure what I mean by that, interpret it how you like!) is for older women?

I'm 45 and perhaps not the best one to give an opinion because I probably don't venture into the "scene" like many. Maybe there's some hangouts for us middle aged folks that I've never heard about. I find that many men our age are either looking for a younger trophy to trot about or have serious commitment/honesty issues. Now, obviously not all men in Lexington fit those generalizations, but it's very difficult to meet men of a certain caliber IMO. If you find out some secrets, please share!!!
