Maybe you should start sending him real estate ads asking if he would like to sell his house!! ha ha No..I'm just kidding..no need to make him even more bitter. People like that are never happy...if it wasn't you dogs..he would find something to complain about! Maybe you could set him up with a nice lady? ha ha It's late maybe I'm off my rocker...I am watching the DNC speech maybe that's it? ha ha
everyone have a good night...and good luck

There are some annoying Yankees from Pennsylvania that moved behind the house I grew up in in Lexington who always liked to complain about stupid stuff like that. I found subtel to annoy them, like burning wet leaves and plastic in the fireplace anytime they were having a get together in their backyard (they lived downhill and downwind ) and by sling shoting poisen ivy seeds and dog poop into their yard.

Blossom, Your right, he thinks that only our dogs bark, he has even so much as said in medation that our dogs get the entire neighborhood going, Ever day at least once something goes off that is so high pitched even I cant hear it and they all stop and do the howling thing you know like when a siren goes off, but those doesn fazz them its only something I can't hear. He even has said that he has taped evidence of them barking, I admitted yep they bark, but just like any other normal dog...they dont all bark at the same time either. Its because we live right next door and he works from home but he is in the front of the house and they are in the backyard....He has even said that our patio light shines in his bedroom and keeps him up, ( called the police ) they came..Its a motion light btw, it is postioned on the Harley because something where stolen off of it, but we did as the officer ask we repostioned it....that wasnt good enough , two weeks later he put a note on my husbands truck, ( which btw we posted no treaspassing signs ) since he had come over 3 times and got up in one of the pation chairs and moved it himself, but the day he put the note that night when my husband got home the light was shattered, we did call and make a report and the police kept the note. But its just a shame he has to be like that, we arent going anyplace nor are my dogs....
Thanks for taking the time to write...
Enjoy your evening

It's a real shame when you get someone like that for a neighbour. Nothing you do wll ever make this person happy so would just stop bending over backwards for him. What you can do is set a surveillance camera to see exactly what this guy is up to. The reason I am saying this is because he sounds like the type who would throw something in your yard laced with poison. I would be very leery of someone like this. Could you maybe try to muzzle your dogs when they are outside so that not one sound comes out of them? Also to protect them from picking up and eating anything just in case. You could also document the harrassing things you put up with from him in case this turns out to be more than it is now. I would probably erect a 10 ft high privacy fence so that he can't even see in your yard. as for the bike, maybe hubby could roll it farther onto the street before starting it up? Least but not last, try baking him something so irresistable he won't dare complain after eating it...yes, I know...asking a bit much...lol.
I'm afraid there just isn't a quick solution to this guy's problem, he might decide to move and solve the problem..

Zoran,
Well we have talked about a camera and the fence is already up on his side . As for the muzzles well at first when he told us about the barking that bothered him we actually tried a muzzle on the jack russell, ( only had one at the time ) and he froze and would not move one inch , it was like it terrified him. So I will not put my dogs thru that ever again. I have kept a log from day one, beginning with his phone calls to the house telling us they bother him . He is doing the same thing from what I saw when we went to medations, He actually told the medator that the dogs had settled down but it was now the Harley that woke him up and that we were doing it on purpose, As for rolling it to the curb, well have you ever tried to push a Harley that isnt running, its not easy, besides the Harley is factory legal. The medator suggested he maybe put in ear plugs , ( said she did when living in NY) he flat out told her that was not going to happen, she suggested if he had another room in the house perhaps he could move,,he has 2 other br, he said that wasnt going to happen either, so see he is just one way, its either going to be his way or he will continue with the nonsense.....He has pool parties and do you think we call or say anything about the kids yellin or screamming or his music or the guest getting little loud, nope, but that is okay since its him...I will find a solution, Thanks for your suggestions.

I'm a member of the Lexington Kennel Club, and there is no pont in contacting us as there is nothing we could do....we're just a dog club, and an entity with no legal powers or authority to give legal advicet. It sounds to me like you should talk with an attorney about his harrassing behavior; in the meantime document everything.

My Granddog is a much nicer houseguest when she is wearing her bark collar. Are you philosophically opposed to that option?
