leabee43 is on a distinguished road
Are there many jobs in construction there? My husband is an experienced carpenter and I am a cabinet sales/designer. I am hoping that the new housing market might still be existant there.

My contacts tell me that the climate has become very challenging, as building and sales of new homes have slowed.

I represent a builder who tells me that everyday there are people stopping by asking for work. New home sales here are pretty slow and have been since 2006. Sorry to be a bummer, but wanted to be real with you!!

There's still a lot being built in the Hamburg area, residential and commercial.

This is the area I was talking about in the post above you!! I wouldn't call it a lot, but there is construction happening. My builder tells me that just about everyday contractors are stopping by asking for work. We still have more people to do labor than we have work in this area.
